LOST PET MAYDAY

It is a horrible feeling when you realize that your pet is missing. Yes, our pets love us and don’t intend to run away but they find open gates, running bunnies, and other curiosities irresistible. In a flash, they are gone. Suddenly, not even they know where they are.

Whether it’s a lost dog, or lost cat, Pets911.com’s Lost Pet Prevention Articles will teach you what you can do right now to help get them home fast. This section also covers how to prevent losing your pet, and how to handle a pet you find or spot that appears to be lost or abandoned.

About PETS911 Lost and Found

PETS 911 has between 9,000 and 10,000 lost/found pets on the site at any given time. This number grows monthly as our program gains more and more national exposure.

The public can logon to pets911.com, go to our lost and found section, and upload information about their lost pet including a photo.

Likewise, anyone finding a pet can also post information about the lost pet including a photo. Even if a pet is turned into a municipal shelter or rescue organization, we still urge the finder to post the information and give the shelter’s address and phone number.

One great feature of PETS 911 is that shelters or rescues that upload adoptable pets to pets911.com can mark a box that a pet was a stray. This way, the pet not only posts to our adoptable pet area but also in our lost and found section.
